Collagen in Food: Garlic, Eggs and Veggies

In part one of this two-part blog series, we went over some basics on the role of collagen in youthful skin, plus some of the top foods that contain collagen. Garlic

There are numerous other vegetables to consider, including some families that generally just go by color. A huge variety of red vegetables, for instance, have high quantities of lycopene, which boosts collagen while protecting the skin – so eat plenty of beets, peppers and tomatoes. In addition, orange vegetables like sweet potatoes or carrots have incredible amounts of vitamin A, which helps out with cell repair, skin renewal and the restoration of collagen.
