Which Juvederm Filler is Best For Specific Facial Areas?
At the offices of Steven Jepson MD, we’re proud to offer multiple high-quality Juvederm treatments to our patients. This line of dermal filler products, which includes Juvederm Ultra, Juvederm Volbella and others, is made using hyaluronic acid and meant to help with several of the visible signs of aging in multiple areas of the face.
If you’re considering Juvederm treatments for a particular area of your face, you might be wondering which of these treatments is best for you. And while making a final determination here will involve a consultation with our expert staff and Genesis Lifestyle Medical himself, here are some basics on a few common facial areas Juvederm can assist with treatment for, and which Juvederm treatment you should choose for each area.
There are a few Juvederm varieties that could be beneficial to you if you’re considering treatments in or around your lips:
Juvederm Volbella (or Volbella XC): This is the newest of the Juvederm products we offer, considered the “thinnest” Juvederm format. It offers a subtle lip enhancement and is our #1 filler for the small lines around your lips – the “smoker’s lines”. Volbella treatments generally last up to a year.
Juvederm Ultra XC: The single most popular Juvederm treatment, Juvederm Ultra XC helps add fullness and plumpness to the lips. It’s helpful for lips that have thinned out over time, and also for other lower areas of the face in many cases.
When it comes to the cheeks, the most common form of Juvederm generally chosen is Juvederm Voluma XC. This is one of the densest Juvederm fillers available, one designed to add volume under the skin’s surface while contouring the cheek area to your liking. Those with sagging, drooping cheeks often see major positive results from Voluma treatments.
Voluma, which can also be used in the temple area in some cases, is also beneficial due to its long-lasting qualities. Voluma tends to last between 18 months and two full yearsGeneral Lines and Wrinkles
Several members of the Juvederm family can be used for general lines and wrinkles on the face, including Juvederm Ultra and Volbella . Another type of Juvederm called Vollure XC is used for moderate lines and wrinkles. Liked Ultra and Volbella, this form of Juvederm will add volume to lines or folds, helping you get the best results possible. Vollure products will generally last from 12-15 months. Genesis Lifestyle Medical used Volbella for finer lines, Ultra for deeper lines and folds, and Vollure for medium depth line
As you can see, there is a lot of variety in the type of Juvederm fillers. Dr Jepson will help guide you at the time of your consultation or initial appointment towards the best Juvederm for your particular needs and concerns.
